BEDNAR FMT on the offensive overseas yet again

BEDNAR continues to make progress by exporting machines to the Australian market. The specific conditions for each and every market are so different, that cooperation with a local importer in a market on this scale is crucial. BEDNAR had already started negotiations at the SIMA exhibition in Paris and continues to do so for the start of the Australian season.

Opening up the Australian market

BEDNAR FMT is introducing farm machines into the Australian market for the first time. Cooperation has started with an importer situated in Wodonga, Victoria called FramTech Machinery. The first machine introduced is the Mulcher MZ with working widths of 4, 5 and 6m. The mulchers have an excellent opportunity to really get a foothold in the Australian market as they are designed for heavy duty conditions.

Mulcher training

At the beginning of cooperation it is essential to start with a training to demonstrate how to set up mulchers for the particular conditions in Australia. As the technicians and sales men in Farm Tech are experienced, the training went off without a hitch. The most important thing at the start is to set the Mulcher to the correct level position after which the application is plain sailing, said Derek Modra head technical manager.

Field days introduction

BEDNAR has attended two big regional field days in two weeks of October. One of which was the Henty Field days and second one the Elmore Field Days. Both of these filed days showcased the Mulcher MZ 4500 and 6000. As a new brand on the market the interest from customers was significant. One of the bigger Australian contractors said: “The Mulcher has a very nice galvanized body of the Mulcher which is a smart solution for working with grass acids, I also like the easy going solution used to adjust the working height.”

Cooperation continues

After the field days cooperation continues and Farm Tech Machinery is named as the official importer of BEDNAR implements into Australia. Our target market in Australia would be mulchers and hi-end technology disc harrows like the ATLAS AO and the Swifterdisc XO_F. “For harsh conditions which can be found in most farms in Australia this would be a great solution”, continues the sales manager.
