A new modern office complex

Our factory tour started off by visiting the office building. "The new administration centre was only completed as recently as the summer of 2012 and its construction was followed by the development of another new facility that has been designated especially for powder painting technology." says Vojtech Bednar (head of production) as he explained the course of the development. A modern hinterland for 250 people was also added to the new building. On top of the new offices there have also been new dressing rooms, bathrooms and a dining room built.

A new powder painting hall

The next step of the tour continued took us through welding and the metallurgical material warehouse until we reached the ‚not quite finished’ powder painting technology site. ‘There is still a wait as far as the renovation of the welding hall and material working area is concerned. At the moment, we simply cannot afford it because of the huge increase in annual production. Yet we have to commit which, I see happening by the end of April this year. ", continued Vojtech Bednar.  "The new hall has a 4,100 m ² surface and there will be a hanging conveyor system ready for the powder painting, which will prevent the system from needing degreasing and blasting. Our halls are all interconnected; it is a connected complex of different halls, where it is possible to move from one to the other without the influence of weather, "added V. Bednar

Vojtech Bednar describes the current production process and how the process will look with the opening of hall 3.  Jiří Hovad explains the barcode system.

Sufficient storage space

The gently sloping land adjacent to the hall has been seized upon by the architect has he incorporated the slope in the land with the large storage spaces (1250 m²), which will be used for the storage of painting material coming from our partners. The connection between the main painting hall and the basement storage space will be provided by an elevator with a surface area of 15 x 4m , making it an easy job to supply the paint shop.

Satisfied salesmen

„I'm glad I was able to visit the new plant. I was really looking forward to it, because I'm interested in engineering. I sell STROM-BEDNAR equipment in Jičín and Hořičky and sales go quite well for me. A lot of my customers wanted to visit the plant before but, because of the on-going construction it was not possible. I am glad that soon I'll be able to start visiting the factory regularly with my customers. It's a relatively short journey for us. I am sure that what we have seen here today, it will help us all boost sales … "comments the first visitor of the BEDNAR plant Jan Vojík, sales representative of STROM North, Stara Paka.
