Bednar cultivators in Combine day in Estonia

Bednar's Estonian importer held successful combine and cultivation equipment demo day in July.  "Although it was announced as Combine day it seemed to us sensible to show a complete solution for harvesting time, therefore we combined John Deere combines and Bednar tillage machinery," Stokker Agritech's marketing manager Ülle Penjam explains.  "We invited customers by e-mail and mobile short text messages, published an advert in weekly newspaper. The invitations were supported by special webpage on stokkeragri.ee.  Finally salesmen called up over 400 customers before the event.  That's why the turn-up was very good, we had over 100 customers from over 80 companies despite the weather was very good and a lot of customers were harvesting themselves", she goes on.

Good feedback from customers

First rapeseed was harvested with John Deere combines W650 and T670i. The yield was 2000 kg/ha and loss with W650 was 0.5%, with T670i 0,3%.  After harvesting 3 m and 6 m Swifterdisc disc cultivators as well as their tine mates - 4 m Fenix and Ecoland cultivators went onto stage.  After demonstrations interested customers could try out the machines themselves. The feedback from customers was very positive.  It is commonly known that farmers trust experience rather than sales talk so the crucial part of convincing them is customer reference and own testing of the machine.  All the salesmen got leads for combines as well as tillage machinery. The DEMO day in Palamuse on July 17th was very
successful.
