BEDNAR in Holland
This was the first time BEDNAR FMT has attended the AGROTECHNIEK HOLLAND field day exhibition at Biddinghuizen. This event was held between the 10th and 13th of september. This year over 60,000 visitors attended and on each day of the exhibition a live demonstration took place, where BEDNAR FMT showed three of its great machines.
Agrotechniek full of innovations
Dutch farmers are very innovative with regards to the agriculture sector, and this is demanded from their customers. In total there were 80 innovative machines to see. Possibly the most visited innovation was an electrical tractor, a product from a group of companies called Multitooltrac Van Hamand. One of the tractors' innovations is that it can carry and operate 3 implements at a time. “This is the future of farming when I can use 3 machines on one pass" commented one farmer. The front, the middle and the back of the tractor have a 3-point hitch. The front and rear being operated by drive shafts. One of the designers commented ”We are not finished yet, we have just started”. The tractor has 4 independently driven wheels with a power throughput of 22 kW each. The testing showed that the tractor could work for 24 hours with two implements front and back with only the one charge of the battery. The battery is supported by a diesel motor for the third implement.
Future of farming equipment? Electrical tractor can carry 3 implements at once, with clever positioning of driver’s cabin.
Demo shows what BEDNAR is really about.
Every day, demonstrations started at 14:00. Visitors could see on the field, tractors, sprayers, sugar beet harvesters, seed drills, ploughs, universal cultivators (FENIX FN 3000L), compactors (SWIFTER SO5000F) and a disc harrow (SWIFTER DISC XO6000F).
FENIX FN was shown along with 4 other competitors using the same typology from tine cultivators, with maximum working depth of 25-30 cm. In the comparison, the FENIX FN showed its quality, not only in construction, but also its very good cover of plant residues. (demo on sugar beet field).
These four pictures show the differences between the machines.
In the first picture we can see, how good it can put plant residues into the soil after one pass of the FENIX with the great rear packer V-Ring combination.
The Swifter SO5000F as usual had no any problems to prepare a fine seedbed straight after the plough.
SWIFTER SO5000F BEDNARs' best seller throughout the whole of Europe. The reason is simple; it works in all soil types.
The last but not least machine on demonstration from BEDNAR was the SWIFTER DISC XO6000F together with an impressive tractor assembled with double front and rear wheels. This huge combination attracted a lot of interest from farmers.
The BEDNAR FMT stand drew a lot of attention. On display were the SWIFTER SN 4000 in its folded position, SWIFTER SO5000F and the very popular machine the TERRLAND TN 3000 M5R (version in 2. 5 m working width).
