BEDNAR attended the largest Russian indoor show the Agrosalon 2014 in Moscow.
BEDNAR has become one of the most important suppliers of profesional farming machines and technologies in the Russian market during the last few years. Even if the crisis in this region has slowed down the market we are still well established and heading in the right direction. The Moscow show attracted many farmers to come along and see the new trends in agriculture.
BEDNAR participated in the largest Russian exhibition the Agrosalon 2014 for the first time. We exhibited 6 machines over an area of more than 500m². Three of the machines are already well known on the Russian market, the other three machines were launched as brand new for 2015.
Inter-row cultivation becomes an important part of soil preparation again. The main issue is not weed control as it used to be, but access of oxygen to the root system during vegetation of crops (sugar beet, maize, sunflower etc.); especially after heavy rainfall it is needed to eliminate soil crust. This was the reason why BEDNAR decided to launch new for 2015 the inter-row cultivator ROW-MASTER for sugar beet hoeing. The machine exhibited was the Row-Master 8100 18/45 (18 rows, row distance 40/45/70 cm) equipped with self-guidance system which allows very early cultivation after beet germination. The ROW-MASTER was very much applauded by a large group of Russian sugarbeet growers.
Another well received machine for the russian market was a heavy discs cultivator the Atlas HO, exhibited in 6 m working width. Model Atlas HO is equipped with large discs of diameter 660 m. Designers put a big space between each disc. It means great throughput of big trash volume. Atlas HO is able to manage a large quantity of trash in just one pass. That is what grain crop growers look for, and not only in Russia. Moreover the disc sections of the Atlas HO are positioned in X-form (X-precise system) which does not allow sideway movement during work. Atlas HO works exactly to the tractor track.
The big attraction was the new seed drill Omega OO 6000 Ferti which was part of the BEDNAR stand in Moscow. BEDNAR is known in Russia as a manufacturer of tillage and mulching farm machinery, having been asked many times from farmers and dealers for drills. After the first official presentation at the last Agritechnika 2013 show the russian farmers could learn first hand more about the new BEDNAR seed drill, Omega OO.
On the other part of the stand were also other well estabilished products such as the Swifter seedbed cultivator which has become a market leader, along with the short disc cultivator the SwifterDisc taking a very prominant position in disc cultivation all over Europe.
