ATLAS HO and its application

This Summer did not bring enough rain and so farmers have had trouble processing stubble fields after the harvest. This situation was what has been happening in the south of Slovakia, namely in VelkýKlas. Agrolenss.r.o., a company based in Čenkovce, managing 1,500 hectares, specialising in plant production, mainly in growing corn, rapeseed, cereals, but also legumes. Their land is located in an area with heavy soil which was almost impossible to process using a light disc cultivator with a smaller disc diameter (520mm) due to this year’s drought. Therefore, they decided to test an ATLAS HO with a 5-metre width (disc diameter of 660mm) on these hard conditions.

AUSTRALIAN RESEARCH: Advantages of Deep Soil Cultivation

In 2015-2016, the Australian Ministry of Agriculture and Food carried out research showing the opportunity to increase crops in the CTF system (Controlled Traffic Farming) in Western Australia. The system is based on cultivating soil in the tracks of agricultural vehicles. The research results are clear: It is possible to increase the crop within two years of using the deep soil cultivation method.

Terraland allowed Mulder´s family to seed at early date despite wet spring

Mulder´s family farming in Canada purchased Terraland TN 4000 to solve their drainage issues. Thanks to this solution they were able to avoid summer fallow. They seeded their field with barley and canola at the latest agronomy date. One of the main factors for acquiring Terraland was that is was only product available on the market and they liked the design.

Mulching Crop Residue for Healthy Vegetation

Prevention of spreading diseases and pests is a priority of any good farmer. One such measure is proper crop residue management. Even though it may seem that such an operation is too expensive and unnecessary, the opposite is true. Proper and fast crushing of crop residue can significantly reduce the costs of future protection of plants thanks to the prevention of their occurrence and spreading. And last but not least, the crushed crop residue decompose in soil after incorporation much faster, better and with a lower consumption of nitrogen. Naturally, the crop residue crushed by the mulcher is also easier incorporated into soil.

We Launched ROW-MASTER RN 5400 S Demonstration Weeder with Excellent Results

We launched a new demonstration weeder, BEDNAR ROW-MASTER RN 5400 S, on a family farm owned by farmer Štěpán Koníček in the Dvůr Králové region. Mr. Koníček manages about 100 hectares of arable soil in the surroundings of Sadová and he is mainly involved in plant production (wheat, barley, rapeseed, sugar beet and potatoes). He knows BEDNAR very well as he has been using the SO 5000 seedbed cultivator and the Fenix FN 3000 share cultivator for many years.

Stubble Cultivation Is Here

The beginning of harvest is also the time of stubble cultivation and thus of SWIFTERDISC. Stubble cultivation is an essential operation in successful agro-technology of soil before establishing a new crop.

Deep Soil Cultivation Prior to Sowing Oil seed rape with Chisel Plough Using Cutter-disc S

The Jiří Jetleb & Son farm manages about 680 hectares of mostly heavy soils in the municipality of Vrdy in the district of Kutná Hora. Last year, they asked their seller of agricultural technology, Agrometall Heřmanův Městec, for a machine that would solve the basic soil preparation before sowing oil seed rape as their standard tillage technology could not be used on a part of their land due to extreme drying of the soil profile. Agrometall leased the Terraland TN 3000 demonstration machine, with hydraulic protection of the working parts, and as Mr. Jetleb Sr. states, they would not be able to process 100 hectares for oil seed rape without the machine.
