Every time I have the opportunity to be in North America, I l realize the potential and the value of this part of the globe for us.
After my last visit to Canada, together with Juraj, I saw the future of sales in Canada being very positive. Over the past three years, showing Canadian farmers the strengths and principles of our technologies, we are raising their interest and understanding of what we can offer them. Of course, with the growth of farmers’ interest, the dealer’s interest grows.
Of course, the technology used today in Canada and North America differs greatly from the conventional ones that apply to Europe. Not least with water, the stiffening of “submarine” layers and other problems clearly suggest that our technology is needed here and farmers understand the need for them. This also proves unusual interest when we explain everything patiently to them and we show the machines in the fields and the increasing sales confirm it.
As I said, Canada is a very different and complex market, but as the customer’s interest suggests, I see it as a market with huge potential. We are only at the beginning, so we will see what the future will bring us. I look forward to it very much.

After three years working in the Canadian market I have learned lots from local farmers in different provinces. Overall I can say the provinces in Canada have a very different agriculture style and use of soil tillage equipment (if any). This varies according to the crop style, West/East Canadian provinces and of course family background (origin of country). Where usually people who are originally from Europe are using more intensive soil tillage.
The soil over the provinces is very variable and farmers with large fields have shorter farming seasons due to the long and strong winters. This can limit the use of the same soil tillage equipment as in Europe. But as the world of farming is changing due to customer demands to have more healthy and rich crops „at the table“, the farmers start to use less and less weed killing chemicals, which are causing most of the problems to the soil and freshness/health of the crops. These are a few reasons why I believe the Canadian market is going to be Bednar yellow especially with models like the TERRALAND TO 6000 and XE 12 000.

AG IN MOTION 2018 TOTAL VISITORS 32000, A VERY IMPORTANT FARM SHOW IN WESTERN CANADA.
Bednar was present for the second time and attendance was very good, with a lot of interest in the TERRALAND 6000 TO. As the prairies are farmed no-till with very large equipment and compaction is visible on most or all fields, farmers are looking at possibilities to fix this problem. Pattison AG will be demonstrating a TERRALAND 6000 TO’s in multiple locations in Saskatchewan and Manitoba among their customers. Bednar has a lot of interest because of its large size machinery, very suitable for prairie style farming.
The A-disc is handling trash better than machinery designed for “vertical” tillage at 1.5″ depth. And the TERRALAND hardened tines will last longer than any other competing brand in the market. Starting, mainly with these models in Canada, Bednar is the competition in price, options and quality of field finish. Farmers are contacting their dealer for more info and machinery availability as it is.
With dealers servicing every province in Canada, Bednar will be available for every farmer that is looking to bring his yield to the next level. From shallow to deep tillage, and high speed air seeders up to 9 meters with 5″ row spacing, all farmers small and large in Canada will have access to affordable and top notch Bednar machinery.
Most popular model in Canada SWIFTERDISC XE 12 000 with A-disc profile, which is more suitable than “classic” notched discs.
Big discussions were made about soil compaction, renovation and profile upgrades with machine model TERRALAND TO 6000.
